Shoot 2

27/03/20

Week 7

Shoot 2

Due to the recent outbreak of coronavirus creating a global pandemic I have been in isolation since Tuesday 17th March 2020 because of a national statement that was given the evening before on Monday 16th March 2020 where the prime minister gave a statement saying that all vulnerable people must self isolate. Due to my heart condition I come under that category and my whole family have self isolated as well for extra safety. Because of this I was unable to attend class last week and our last day at college which was Wednesday 25th. However I was able to get the underwater camera set from Plymouth College of Art and my mum went in on Thursday 26th to go collect it from my college as I couldn’t.

My shoot plans and ideas had to change because I had originally planned to have done this shoot in a pool that I had secured but due to the coronavirus it had now closed and I was unable to achieve the photographs that I had planned for my FMP.

This shoot was also in my hot tub and my model was my mum because I can’t see anyone else at the moment so I have had to change my plans. I used one outfit for this shoot and it was one of my mums long floaty colourful dresses. I used the underwater camera from the uni that I was able to get.

This whole shoot was taken underwater or partially submerged and again I used natural sunlight for this shoot.

My goal for this shoot I don’t achieve as I had to change so much and I think in my head I had these big ideas but I wasn’t able to replicate as I didn’t have enough room and the right model. The water in the pool also seemed misty and so the photographs were not as clear and sharp as I had hoped.

Below are all my photographs from the shoot:

Below are my best photographs from the shoot:

I also had to complete a risk assessment form. Here it is below:
